______
Ever since picking up his dad's camera when he was a kid and making home movies (mistakenly taping over other family footage) he's been into video production. Eventually buying a camera of his own, he studied Documentary and Journalism at Conestoga College, and went on to complete a Bachelor of Arts in Professional Communication at Royal Roads University in 2013.
He got the travel bug after graduating and moved to Japan a year later, where he landed a gig working with a production company based out of Tokyo. Honing his skills abroad, his work became versatile and ranges from corporate product videos to promotional content for brands and visual artists.
Since returning to Canada, he is currently residing in the core of Waterloo Region where he’s highly engaged with the local arts and the creative community; shooting photos for a local publication 'The Community Edition'. Telling people’s stories is his passion, and promoting a good cause locally is at the core of his work.
Matthew is currently available for freelance projects and collaboration (or just chat over a cup of coffee).
