Matthew is a Videographer and Documentarian. Ever since picking up his dad's camera when he was a kid and making home movies (mistakenly taping over other family footage) he's been into video production. Eventually buying a camera of his own, he studied Documentary and Journalism in college, and went on to complete a BA in Communications from Royal Roads University in 2013.
After graduating, he got the travel bug and moved to Japan a year later where he landed a gig working with a production company based out of Tokyo. Honing his skills abroad, his freelance work became versatile and currently ranges from documentaries and music videos to promotional content for brands and visual artists.
Since returning to Canada in 2018, he is currently residing in the core of Waterloo Region where he’s highly engaged with the local arts and the creative community. In addition, he shoots photos for a local newspaper The Community Edition with several of his photos being published monthly. Telling people’s stories is his passion, and promoting a good cause is at the core of his work.
He is currently available for freelance projects and collaboration (or just to get cup of coffee).
